hydrating adds water to the skin, while moisturizing helps lock in that hydration. b-gel is designed to hydrate deeply, and we recommend pairing it with a moisturizer like b-cream or b-balm for optimal results; however, this doesn't mean it can't also be used on it's own!

b-gel is ideally applied as a first step after cleansing, while your skin is still damp (but not wet). this isn't a steadfast rule though! b-gel feels great when mixed into your moisturizer to increase its hydrating capacity or even as the final skincare layer to give your skin a fresh, hydrated and plump appearance.

it really isn't! this is especially the case when you apply it before other products - you'll barely notice it (aside from how hydrated your skin will feel 😉). we've strategically chosen the humectants not just for their benefits but also their specific skin feel.

this serum is everything I could have imagined for build! I've been working on the perfect hydration forward product since builds inception. trying to craft the perfect crystal clear gel that felt elegant was a challenge. I really wanted to marry the benefits of a toner or essence with the application of a gel. b-gel proves yet again that basic skincare doesn't require compromise on efficacy or aesthetics!

Overpriced for what it is

You could get a large bottle of a Japanese HA serum that contains these ingredients, plus much more, for the same price. This is like a dollar store product dressed up to look interesting.

I appreciate your point of view. when launching b-gel I was actually very worried because of this exact thing. It looks very very boring on paper. fortunately, I spent a lot of time balancing the ingredients to eliminate a lot of the common pet peeves people have with hydrating serums currently on the market like pilling, stickiness, sliminess etc. even though a lot of these ingredients can be found in many formulas on the market, I hope that the effort I put into balancing them shows when you actually try b-gel.

the product I didn’t know I needed

I was intrigued by what I read about b-gel (thanks @sambythexounter). I didn’t know how it would fit into my routine but decided to try it anyway. This stuff is magic! When I dispensed it in my hand, I thought it might be heavy or sticky. It transforms into this light, kind of watery fluid that absorbs right in to the skin and moisturizes like a dream! In the winter, I replaced my morning toner with b-gel. Sometimes at night, I applied a thick coat and let it soak in before doing the rest of my routine. Now that’s it’s hot and humid, my morning routine is b-wash, an antioxidant serum, b-gel and sunscreen. It even helped heal my parched hands after a pottery project. B-gel has gone from the product I wasnt sure I needed to the product I buy in multiples because I cant be without it.

Simple and efficient

I’ve tried a lot of hydrating toners and this one of my top favourites. So simple but does its job. Perfect alone on wet skin followed by serums/moisturizer, but even better mixed into b cream. Has never caused a break out. I have sensitive combination skin.

Witchcraft in a bottle!

Jonah know's his formulations. I don't know how he did it, but B-Gel is incredible/the best hydrating gel/serum I have ever used. It has the most perfect viscous texture that absorbs beautifully into the skin, but leaves ZERO tackiness/stickiness. Despite this, my skin feels so plump and hydrated, as if I am wearing a cream-based moisturizer. I've been using B-Gel for about a month now, typically just in the mornings. I apply the gel and then sunscreen on top, and that's it. My skin feels perfectly hydrated all day long; no pilling, no stickiness, no heavy feeling. Cannot recommend this product enough!
